Team Partnerships
At a glance
A team partnerships registry that tracks regular doublette and triplette pairings over time — combined ELO, win/loss record, full match history, chemistry score (win rate together vs. individually), public partnership profiles, and a "find a partner" matcher by ELO range, location, availability, and playing style.
How it works
Players register stable partnerships explicitly or the system suggests them when two or three names recur on the same team. Each partnership becomes a tracked entity with its own ID, profile page, and statistics. The combined partnership ELO is calculated from match results — wins move it up faster than the sum of individual changes when the pair beat a higher-rated combination, and vice versa, so chemistry is reflected in the rating.
Partnership win/loss record aggregates every official and casual match the trio or pair played together, broken down by format, opponent strength, and surface. Partnership history shows the chronological match list with results and venues. Chemistry score compares each member's win rate inside the partnership against their win rate apart, surfacing pairs that perform clearly above their individual sum (true partners) and pairs that drag each other down.
The "find a partner" matcher accepts criteria — ELO range, geographic distance, availability windows (matches my Saturday afternoon slot), playing style preference (I shoot, looking for a pointer), language — and returns ranked candidates from the wider player base, respecting privacy settings. Public partnership profile pages render the combined record, recent matches, ELO trend, and notable wins for fans following the pair. Partnerships factor into Records & Milestones (longest-running partnership, most-titled pair) and Head-to-Head & Comparison (partnership-vs-partnership lookups).

In practice
A pointer in Lyon loses his usual partner to a job relocation. He opens "find a partner" and sets criteria — within 30 km, ELO 1500-1700, available Saturday afternoons, prefers a shooter, French-speaking. The matcher returns six candidates ranked by chemistry potential.
He messages the top match; they meet for a casual triplette the next weekend, win their first three matches together, and register the partnership. After six months their combined ELO is 1820, their chemistry score is +12% (they win together more than the sum of their individual rates), and their partnership profile features a steady upward ELO trend. They start entering tournaments together and their public profile becomes a follow target for two dozen fans.
