Print & Paper Integration

Every printable artefact is rendered server-side from the same canonical data the apps read. Templates live as parameterised PDFs generated on demand: draw sheets formatted for A4 wall posting, knockout bracket posters scaled to A2/A3, per-match score sheets with team names and umpire fields pre-filled, and venue layouts with court numbering pulled from the venue subsystem. Output is cached and signed-URL'd so a club secretary can reprint at any time without re-querying the underlying data.

Each generated document carries a QR code linking back to the live record. Score sheets QR-link to the match, draw sheets to the tournament, license cards to the player profile, court maps to the venue page. The QR is the bridge: a referee who scored on paper opens the score-sheet QR, the app loads the matching match and offers OCR-from-photo digitisation. The OCR pipeline takes the camera capture, runs handwriting recognition over the score grid, surfaces low-confidence cells for human confirmation and writes the corrected scores back through the standard match-update API — so paper entries flow into the same audit log as digital ones.

License cards and certificates are PDF-generated with the player's photo, license number, federation branding and an offline-verifiable signature; clubs can batch-print at season start. Competition regulations and rules summaries are produced from the localized-content store so a federation rule change in the CMS automatically updates the printable booklet next time it is requested. Aggregated PDF reports — results, rankings, financial statements — are generated through the same templating layer using the report subsystem's typed KPI sections, then handed back as a download for posting, mailing or filing in a binder.
